Staff Success in MARCHE Awards
The MARCHE Awards dinner and presentation evening was held on Sunday 28th March 2010 at the ICC in Birmingham and once again Lea Marston staff showed great success. Caroline McCall scooped a gold award winning Food Service Assistant of the Year and Karen Richards also won gold for the Housekeeper of the Year Category.
Jerrod Latham, General Manager, commented "this was an amazing result for Caroline and Karen, and for the hotel. We have a fantastic team at Lea Marston and had finalists in most of the categories. I would like to congratulate Karen & Caroline on their success and also thank all of the staff who entered the MARCHE awards (pictured below)".
The Abbey Hotel (the sister hotel of Lea Marston) also performed exceptional scooping the gold award for Receptionist of the Year and were runners up for the prestigious 'Outstanding Venue' Award.
The MARCHE Awards (Midlands Association of Restaurants, Caterers, Hotels & Entertainment) were established in 1997 to encourage training, motivation and team building for organisations operating within the hospitality and leisure industries.
Competitions are held in various categories, and the winners of each section together with the 'Grand Finale' prize are announced at an Awards Night. This glittering evening is held each Spring at The International Convention Centre in Birmingham.
